This ale poured a light yellow colour with a fast living, rocky head. To the nose there are scents of corn, stew, bread and a tiny amount of hopp cereal scent? First sip was smooth and watery witha little stew flavour at first. Thats right, beef stew. I dunno either. Watered off to malty bread flavour and was left at that.

Brown bottle, 341 ml, part of the Discovery Pack, purchased at the LCBO on November 27 2008, savoured on March 4 2009; eye: golden with a copperish hue, clear, light effervescence, tan head that falls rapidly and turns into a tiny ring, slight lacing; nose: grainy malt, dusty, light caramel; mouth: grainy malt, dusty, light caramel, light hops, finale in malt with presence of caramel, medium-light body, a bit thin, rather carbonated, silky, lightly bitter; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, fait partie du Discovery Pack, achetée à la LCBO le 27 novembre 2008, savourée le 4 mars 2009; œil : dorée avec une légère teinte cuivrée, claire, légère effervescence, mousse fauve qui tombe rapidement et se transforme en un petit anneau, très légère dentelle; nez : malt granuleux, poussière, léger caramel; bouche : malt granuleux, poussière, léger caramel, léger houblon, finale en malt avec présence de caramel, corps moyen-léger, un peu mince, plutôt carbonatée, soyeuse, légèrement amère; en résumé : correct

Can: Poured a pale yellow lager with a pure white medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma is mostly dominated by some very bland malt but no adjunct could be detected. Taste is also dominated by some weak malt with no much else discernable. I kind of understand what they are aiming for but some kind of taste profile would probably have been enjoy more by their customer target segment.

Straw colour. Fairly strawlike nose with faint hop. This is clean, strawlike, fairly sweet. The body is very light. This thing finishes really quickly, clean. Well-made, but truly boring and really, are they going to out-market the global conglomerates?

Bottle from LCBO. Golden ale with a big bubbled white head. Unpleasant sweet corn syrup and malt aroma. In mouth, a rather boring and metallic beer with faint notes of butterscotch. Buttery mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium light foamy white head with good retention. Aroma of floral hops is mix with grassy malt. Taste is a bit more interesting then expected with grassy feels mix with something quite salty. Without being great this is an above average golden ale with some character.

Light copper colour. Slightly earthy, herbal aroma - light, toasty, slightly fruity. Light body. Slight toastiness, hint of earthiness. Functional but unspectacular.
