Description
Beavertown was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. At first established as a brewpub in De Beauvoir Town, East London as part art of the Duke's Brew and Que experience. Expanding means moving! In 2012 to Hackney Wick and in 2014 to Tottenham Hale.

In June 2018, it was announced that Heineken would be buying a minority stake, so that Beavertown could spend £40 million on a new brewery and visitor site. The new brewery was launched in 2020, with a capacity of 500,000 hectolitres, a ten-fold increase in their previous capacity.

As of 7 September 2022 Heineken has taken complete control of Beavertown and now has 100 per cent ownership. Founder Logan Plant will stay on as an adviser.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 15/01/25.
Pale golden blonde topped with a white cap that thins to a swirl in time.
Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, tangerine, pale malts.
Taste comprises orange peel, light pine nip, melon, papaya, grass.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spattered with mellow light juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Tidy AF ... better than the last regular beer I had from them IIRC!

Slight hazed gold with small white head. Aroma of citrus, ripe tropical and pine; pleasant although nothing unusual. Its quite sweet with a mild tropical flavour as well as pine, grains, light earthiness. Medium bodied, maybe a touch on the light side for the strength but is refreshing and crisp. Due to the latter, this one grew on me.

Can from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 3 months past BBE. Cloudy gold with small white head. Aroma of wheat, flora, citrus. Taste is a bit muddled; wheat, tart citrus, bitter herbal hop, grainy. Light to medium bodied, low carbonation. Average stuff.

Can from Tesco. Hazy yellow-gold with small consistent white head. Aroma of malts, passionfruit, citrus zest, grass; decent. Taste has a nice tropical and citrus fruitiness up front but then descends quickly to a grain and grassy finish with a reasonable leafy bitterness. A bit on the light side. Enjoyable but not a standout for the style.

Can from Morrisons. Pours 3/4 hazy gold with fluffy white top. Aroma of pineapple, underripe mango, citrus, flora. Taste of minerals, citrus, mixed tropical fruit, pepper, grassy mid-bitter finish. Slightly acidic. Medium bodied, semi-dry, grainy rather than smooth mouthfeel. Still good despite flaws
