Pours light reddish brown. Not very foamy. Pumpkin cake spice nose, sweet caramel, pumpkin pie. Taste is sweet and spicy, pumpkin pie thing going on. Gingerbread spices. Really good pumpkin beer, maybe not very deep in complexity but drinks well, especially during the right season. Dry aftertaste, pumpkin flesh and coating caramel.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a murky brown color with slight transparency about it. Light carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Light lace.
The aroma had a great blend of milk chocolate, light biscuits, some white bread, light toast running fully into a clean earthy/grassy hoppiness (light bitterness). Little bit of spiciness. Balanced nuttiness.
The flavor was practically what I have been looking for as far as an English styled brown ale brewed by an American brewer, the sweet to the roast to the spicy to the underscore of bitterness. Aftertaste was softened milk chocolate with earthy to spicy hops. Finish was somewhat spicy clean to earthy hops with the chocolate and biscuits.
The feel was medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation about it. ABV sat cool with the ratio of the malt smoothness to the hop bill.
Overall, holy crap, thank you, so much Tim for finding my \"Michigan book\" full of these brown ales! This was the one! And the peasants rejoiced!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/20/2016. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a small fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart apricot, peach, pear, apple, wheat, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of apricot and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lightly tart apricot, peach, pear, apple, wheat, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness and light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, peach, pear, apple, wheat, biscuit, herbal, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of apricots, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/dry, bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a very nice fruited pale wheat ale. All around nice robustness and balance of apricots, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a thin head and aromas that are weakly chocolate, banana (heavy at first and fades after fizz dies down a bit), dark fruit, etc. Flavor is the above, but with an odd cola edge to it that buries all the other flavors. Definitely an odd and unpredicted turn of events. Finish is almost wood-like... maybe with a hint of autumn leaves or something. This lacks the complexity I was hoping to find.
