Bottle at le mondiale 2011. Well not much to repot here, run of the mill american ipa. Citrucy hops, light bready malts. Good.

Quite hoppier than i expected. The malts are muted and really blasted but the hops. Some very light doughy malts, with loads of pine, and bitterness. The finish is a touch maltier, and some caramels come through, but really not what i was expecting. Way too hoppy for the style.

Can from Busch's. Pours a clear golden amber with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Lovely Belgian yeast esters on the nose with banana, clove, peppercorn and warming alcohol. Palate is similar with more banana cream pie, clove and a touch of lemon. Boozy and finishes with more of the same notes. A bit boozy, but overall a fun Michigan Tripel.

Nitro draught at Dragon's Landing, 3/22/24. Clear, bright flaxen-yellow. Medium-sized, fairly well-retained, white head. Mineral, light fruit, lots of fresh yeast. Timid barley but it's clean and there's a bit of herbal hopping. In the mouth it's watery, but reasonably malty with good attenuation. Fresh yeast, mineral, fruit, moderate barley character and low, gently bitter hops. Not quite as intensely English as most, but flavorful and clean.

Brewery draught, 3/22/24. Clear, copper-rust-mahogany. Small, light beige head, lower retention. Lighter nose with a bit of fruity yeast, light toasted malt and plentiful mineral water. Clean. In the mouth it's light bodied, of course, with a fair maltiness. Clean and fruity with maybe a shade more toasted malt than I'd prefer. Even at 4%, I still think it could be maltier. But it's a reasonably well-made drinker.

Dragons Landing draught, 3/22/24. Clear, lighter blonde-golden. Small, white head quickly to ring. Nose is phenolic with some bitter orange peel. Crackery malts. Lots of clove and white pepper. A bit heavy on the orange and I don't love their Belgian character, being dry, clovey and white pepper heavy. Lighter body. Lingering orange tack.

Dragons landing draught, 3/22/24. Clear, auburn-amber. Small, light beige head sits at cover. Fresh yeast with a bright fruitiness. Hint of roast with mild base malt and a touch of spicy hop. Malty, well-attenuated. Very light specialty malt. Lots of flavor and an excellent balance with lightly peppery hops bitterness.

Dragon Landing's draught, 9/11/22. Deep bronze with an amber tint and a light chill haze. Small, off-white head shows moderate to low retention. Nose smells, initially, of soapy coriander. Backed by biscuity malts and light citrus spiciness. This comes across equally in the flavor, and is somewhat off-putting. But letting the beer breath works wonders and instead it becomes a complex, spicy, challenging golden ale with the coriander losing its soapiness and really adding to the flavor profile, assuming you like coriander. Soft and malty, very fruity yeast, but no clove and great attenuation with good restraint on the orange peel. By the last few sips when it was cellar-to-room temp, this thing was just a study in balance and flavor.

Dragon's landing draught, 9/11/22. Dark ebony with a well-retained, proper, dark beige head. Chocolate, light molasses and solid base malt with ample, but not aggressive roast and no alcohol or flaw. Fruity yeast with fruity specialty malts and playful oatmeal character. Coffee, milk chocolate and honey on top of a medium body that is soft and malty. Great attenuation and good roasty balance. Nothing acrid, no alcohol.

Dragon's Landing draught, 9/11/22. Minimal haze in a light brassy-blonde body with a small, white head of low retention. Soft and juicy hops show little acidity and no pine/grapefruit. Fruity yeast falls short of any bubble gum ester and malts are clean and clear, adding bread and honey. Good balance. Rather tame on the hops, but what's there is well-done with very light yellow fruit and mild tropical notes. Soft and lightly juicy, mostly quite malty, though with good attenuation. Clean, low bitterness, though still mostly ample. No resin, twang, alcohol or any pine whatsoever. No mosaic grossness. An easygoing, drinkable example that doesn't lean too far in to the NE classification, yet avoids any resinous/overly bitter hopping.
