Can from a local bottle shop. As Eggens Rock North - The Second Wave, pretty sure it's the same beer with a different label design. Aroma is piney and floral hop with sweetish malts, floral notes, ripe fruits, orange, pine, grapefruit, bit sugary fruits. Fairly sweet with a relatively firm bitterness. Medium body. Bit sweet, but okay.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is sweet brown malt, caramel, soft rum, soft dried fruits and nuts. Touch of candy sugar and alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Body is a little above medium. Decent if unremarkable Quad with a touch of rum and cognac.

Can from a local bottle shop. Aroma is heavy on the roasted malt with chocolate and some coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet with a robust bitterness. Medium to full body. Original review text: Can from a local bottle shop. Aroma is woody with roasted malt, armagnac, notes of dark chocolate and coffee, dried fruits, brandy, alcohol. Flavour is fairly bitter and light sweet with a mildly boozy finish. Medium to full body. Pretty good, a bit sharp, bold notes of oak in the aroma.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is flowery with malt, floral hop, grain, yeast, sugary notes. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. A bit sticky and cloying. Not my favourite hop-yeast combination, weird brew. What a shame, Eggens was improving recently.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Whiskey and roasted malt with notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Some ashy notes in the finish. Fairly bitter with a hint of alcohol, medium body. Thinnish but otherwise good.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Besides the Irish Whiskey there's notes of liquorice and cough syrup. Not usually a fan of these flavours, but they work fairly well with the barrel here.

Can from a local bottle shop. Aroma is sweetish ripe fruit with sugary orange, malt, some ripe tropical fruit, touch of pine. Flavour is on the sweet side with a mild bitterness. Medium body. Overall too sweet and lacks refreshing juiciness.
