Description
In the early 1900's St. Petersburg was known as "the Green Bench City". At their height some 2,500 benches lined the downtown sidewalks inviting passers-by to slow their pace and make friends of strangers. In the same way Green Bench beer will serve as a catalyst for community and cheer. People will gather around a pint (or two) to share in both good times and bad, to discuss business or tell a joke, to reminisce about life or dream about the future, to get up and dance to the music or to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the brew.

From Nikita: pours slightly hazy with a white head. Aroma is funky, floral, perfumey. Sweaty, lightly sweet. Somewhat funky. Sweaty.

Enjoyed on tap at Good Intentions in St Pete FL. Very good stuff, cloudy, bright gold, rich citrus profile, light bite, very enjoyable. Would have again!

Draft at the Angry Pepper, Seminole. Light gold, a little hazy with a small white head and considerable lacing. Juicy citrus and pineapple aroma with notes of pine. Bitterness in the juicyvtaste, just enough to round out the immense flavour. Bit of kumquat in the finish. Carbonation on the heavy side. Great.

Seafoam green can, at least it's not the red tide. Pour is slight haze on pale. Nose is mild floral hop perfume. First taste impression is IPA, though not as beefy, its actually quite bitter & hoppy. After the first swig some astringent bite starts to set in. It's even worse thaan poorly made domestic pils, whew. Was not bad at first bit the ill manners are really starting to get on my nerves. Not as thick as an IPA but just as rude. Would not buy again. At least it has some decent carbonation.

A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light brettanomyces, light tropical fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, very nice.

Purchased at Gaspars in Temple Terrace, FL, enjoyed at home. This is just OK, I like the kitschiness of the High Life slogan on the can, but I kind of like High Life more...
