on tap @ The Beer Bistro.
Lovely beer, quite a bit more coffeeish than last year, but all the flavours are still there. lots of cinnamon, and spices, but a little more coffee, and bitterness than i remember, but all in all, very very nice.

Hazy golden-orange colour with a big frothy-creamy warm cap, long retention and some creamy-frothy lacing. Pineapple nose with the orange juice base. Hints of spiciness of grassy hops. Pretty much the same for taste. A building dryness in the finish. A refreshing, juicy NEIPA with a drying end.

This saison poured a hazy, medium yellow colour with a soapy, white head.minimal lacing. Scents include really ripe fruit, floral hops, sweet malt and a little must. First swig had very little carbonation and wasn’t near as sweet as expected. Flavours of perfume, fruit and hops with a little bubblegum most prominent. Finish is medium bitter with that perfume fruit flavours taste lingering.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with light tropical notes is nice. Taste is also a good mix of juicy citrusy hops undertones with light tropical notes and maybe a tad too much residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable but doesn’t necessarily have the balance from other top NEIPA.

A deep dark porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light cinnamon, pleasant. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, light cinnamon and ginger, pleasant. Bottle was 7 years old.

This Imp IPA poured a cloudy, deep yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include faint fruit and hay. First swig was not quite as bitter as expected from a 83 IBUs. Flavours of slightly ripe pear, hay and slightly sweet malt. Finish is bitter and lingering.
