(Bottle) Hazy dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, dates, fruit cake, treacle toffee, apricots marmalade, nuts, chocolate and orange peel. Malty, slightly vinous taste with dates, dried fruit, bread, treacle toffee, caramel, apricot marmalade, nuts, chocolate, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, sweet. Clean and well balanced, hides the alcohol quite well. Very nice.

Bottle. Cloudy, very dark amber. Really nice, off-white head. Aroma is a malty, fruit cake smell. Taste is sweet up front and bitter after taste with hints of caramel and dried fruit.

Tap at the Church by Lost Abbey, I think this is the correct entry point, given the ownership, pours an amber beer. It’s a proper resinous, bitter, pithy west coast

Can shared at work at a blind tasting. Deeper golden pour, lacing white head. Nose is floral hops, honey and pine. Taste is nicely balanced between bitter and sweet, showing honey, grains, floral and grassy, slightly citric hops. Closes with a long lasting finish, has a light body and soft to average carbo.

Impressive aroma of citric hops, pine, and a lovely sweet caramely maltiness. The balance in this beer is really something else. There is a slight soapy pine finish, with a bitterness that just doesnt let go. The alcohol is imcredibly hidden, what a great beer!

This was an ASSAULT!
This beer shredded my palate, and I couldn’t taste anything for the rest of the night. Very resinous, pine, loads of citrus, and grapefruit. No malt anywhere to be found, and the bitterness was intense. It stuck to my throat, and just coated it. For a hop head this is heaven.

This was a perfect west coast IPA. HOPS HOPS and more HOPS! Sweet candy hops, tart citrus hops, grapefruit, orange, tangerine, mandarin, lemon, lime, you name it, its here! For a hop head, this beer is pure heaven, i wanted and IV of this stuff............I almost cried when it was done! 5 all the way!
