Description
Penn Brewery began brewing craft beer back in 1986, making us one of the earliest pioneers in the American craft movement. We started out brewing classic lagers and German beer styles, adhering to the strict quality standards of the 16th-century Bavarian Reinheitsgebot purity laws. As we’ve expanded our lineup in recent years to include IPAs and other contemporary styles like chocolate and pumpkin beers, we’ve stayed true to our quality craftsmanship, brewing all of our beers by hand with top-tier barley and hops. We’re proud to say that Penn beers have won a total of twenty Great American Beer Festival® and World Beer Cup® medals.

Tap, bowsers. I am so tired of beer names, you know, beer names that are misleading and have nothing to do with the taste. When you read the name of this beer, you may be thinking it is something like a tangerine creamscilcle. This beer was very dissapointing from the start. First, let me say that it is nothing but another typical dull fruit beer, the ubiquitous kind. It doesn’t even have a fruity aroma, its just your regular clean beer smell and it looks like pale lager to boot. Did have a nice foamy head tho. First impression is quite bitter. Was expecting something sweeter or tart or even something creamy, this is not. Difficult to drink. Such a let down. A typical dull fruit beer. I went out of my to try this and it was nothing but a big letdown. Come on Penn, if you are going to stray from your main line up, make sure its a good product or at least have a name that describes the beer correctly. Blah.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a medium yellow color with a large foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet with artificial sugar and orange. The flavor was tart and vaguely citric with a bit of yeast. Not much to it. Short finish. Medium to light body. Not good.
