Tap @ Euclid Hall. Clear golden appearance with a small white head. Grainy, grassy, somewhat husky malty, light honey aroma. Honey, very light vanilla, sweet grainy, pale malty, straw flavor. Fairly sweet but not entirely unenjoyable.

9.2% ’Imperial IPA’. Hazy amber beer. Spicy hop aroma. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Rich mouth watering hops that are never overly bitter. Grapefruit, pineapple, lesser notes of peach and orange. Distinct licorice spice towards the end. Very drinkable and tasty.

Can from Beers of Europe. Poured a hazy orange colour with a decent white head. Nose was big on caramel malts with some citrus and piney hop notes also. The flavour was similarly sweet and teetered on becoming cloying, just being rescued by the hop profile. Relatively shortlived bitterness. Ok but not the greatest IPA out there. Funky looking can though. Keep that 3rd eye blinking y’all.

On tap. Pours with a hazy copper to amber hued body with a lasting tan head. Aromas are fruity, medium esters and lightly vinous. Not a lot of funk. Flavors are sour, cherry pie, vinous, with minimal funk. Mostly lactic acid. Light bubbles.

Dull pale gold-tan colour. Hugely earthy, spicy aroma. Honeyish sweet malts up front, followed by earthy hop bitterness. This local terroir hop this is cool - these have a unique spiciness that I’m enjoying.

Cask. Looks like maybe a sparkler was involved. Amber colour with a thick head. The aroma has floral Belgian stuff, along with a dash of spicy hop. It’s a bit syrupy, chewy and underattenuated, but the spicy American hops are nice.

Straw colour. There is only a moderate aroma, and it is almost entirely of green chile. Hot on the palate, with lots of green chiles and not much balance. Nice burn going down. Not the best chile beer, but I can dig it in small quantities.

Draught at the brewery, 7.1%. Pretty close to black. Sugary, sweetish and a little bit fudgey aroma - quite foreign. On the palate, however, it is not so much a foreign stout. It is thick and sweet, slightly fudgey...and not very nuanced. It’s ok.

Draught at the brewpub, 8.4%. Copper colour with a thick head. Crystal malt and minty hops with hints of grapefruit. Rich hoppiness, minty with slight pomelo and guava. The malts are a light cystal malt character.
