Cask (Sir John Borlase Warren, Nottingham) - Dark brown with red tinges. Fruity and slightly chocolatey aroma. Cocoa, raisins and caramel can be detected in the taste.

Cask gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Friday 9th May 2014 Warm gold, reasonably bitter but missing something. Overall a little dissapointing compared to what Leadmill can do. Its quite tasty but lacks any distinct standout quality, a little droll, bit rustic and safe. A5 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask at Merton Beer Festival 28th February & 1st March 2014 Pours light gold with a small covering of white bubbles. Not getting much off of the aroma if truth be known. Taste is equally subdued but overall this is quite tasty, bitter and fruity. Its absolutely fine but fairly straightfoward. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Cask at The Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire on dads 65th birthday Thursday 26th December 2013 Gold/orange in colour looks good a few white bubbles soon depart. As the name suggests it us orangey and juicy, tangy a little pithiness. Bit of pine, really streaky citrus bitterness tastes stronger than 4.4% A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Cask, gravity at The Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire on dads 65th birthday Thursday 26th December 2013 Pours clear gold, excellent clarity, bittersweet with a lingering bitterness, quite straightforward, quite thick in mouth. It’s good but I prefer the Bottle Brook Turnibg Japanese. A7 A4 T6 P4 Ov13 3.4

Had this at Indietracks Music Festival, nr Ripley, Derbyshire. 27.07.13 Pours dark brown with nice beige head. A little coffee a bit creamy, actually it isn’t creamy at all scrub that, a fruity, tangy slight sourness (but not to the detriment) aftertaste is a bit roasty. Its fine A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Had this at Indietracks Music Festival, nr Ripley, Derbyshire. 27.07.13 Pours amber little or no head, fruity, tangy and wondefully hoppy. Quite amazed that I’ve not rated this as I’ve had it loads at The Old Oak Horsley Woodhouse. Sipping the remainder whilst watching The Secret History a NY based band featuring Mick Ronson’s daughter on vocals. Juicy, full flavoured quality beer, I like reminds me how much I like Leadmill.
