Had this at Indietracks Music Festival, nr Ripley, Derbyshire 27.07.13 on cask, gravity. Pours light amber with slim white head. Touch furry and dry but a good hoppy bite persists, some sour/sweet orange. Dries the roof of the mouth, quite pithy, very juicy, actually ratger than orange maybe I get some grapefruit, regardless it is a lovely beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Had this at Indietracks Music Festival, nr Ripley, Derbyshire 27.07.13 Pours clear pale gold with slim white head. Sweet but still reasonably crisp, a little lemon, soft, decent beer. I like this but not as much as the Bottle Brook ’Sand in the Wind’ which I really must re-rate. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

In memory of Simon Johnson. Cask, gravity at Indietracks Music Festival. Butterley, nr Ripley, Derbyshire 26.07.13 Pours mid/dark brown, almost chestnut coloured with off-white head. Pretty good mild, easy drinking, uncomplicated, soft, smooth dominated by typical light caramel flavour. The merest of a fruity tang, mild in name, mild in taste, unlikely to cause a ripple, it’s fine A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

In memory of Simon Johnson. Cassk, gravity at Indietracks Music Festival. Butterley, nr Ripley, Derbyshire 26.07.13 Pours light/mid gold the white head soon departed. Great bittersweet bite, a really lovely buzzy bitterness, some sweet lemon and mandarin with a nice little bitter punch and pleasant dryness. Really tasty beer, immensely drinkable, tiny bit warm otherwise condition is excellent. Ah the perils of drinking outside include suicidal fruit flies swimming at yhe surface of your beer. Btw the Tuts were just about ok.. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

On gravity, at Barrow Hill Beer Festival - Ruby body, thin white head. Nose is caramel, cereal, and dough. A bitter taste, with notes of malt and cake fruits. Rather standard fare, a decent bitter, but nothing outstanding.

A clear straw coloured ale, very hoppy on the nose with notes of spruce and resin. A bit sweet, with the pine shining through. Very good.

Cask, handpump at The Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse, 15.03.12 in company of Dad, Pauline & Barry Pours golden with a bristling bitterness, this is also quite dry but there is a sweet edge to it, some citrus showing. Nice beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask handpull at White Cliffs BF 2012. Leadmill Rajah Brook 5.6%. clear gold thin collar of white bubbles. Some medium malt on aroma. Some hop on finish. Reasonable strong english beer with decent peppery hop on finish. Competent. Ok beer. Fine. A little water in body but otherwise fine 637314 3.3/5

Cask handpull at Silk Mill Derby. Lovely maple nuts really dry that contrast nicely with the fruity juicy porter

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms Derby BF. Pours clear, straw gold with a light, white film. Sugary hay aroma. Very sweet flavor, white sugar, faint citrus, hay and straw. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, faintly sticky finish, light spices, straw. Interesting and not bad.
