Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Missed this one during my visit to the brewery a while back. Glad it made it's way over here. Midnight pour with a ton of thick tan foam head. Toasty, metallic, chocolate forward aroma. Flavor is really the seller in this. Delicious stout full of roasted malt, coffee roast, semi sweet caramel and cream, and milk chocolate. A dessert beer, without being too sweet. A morning time beer, id say, with all the coffee and chocolate that come through. A flavorful dry stout here. Very impressed with this.

Deep brown with a creamy tan head. Chocolate, roasted malts, a bit of earth notes, light cocoa powder. Roasted and bittersweet in the lingering finish. Medium bodied. A simple porter with a heftier dose of roasted malts. Nice.

2011 version on tap at BPP. Aging very well. Aroma is still fruity-toti malt. Gets more cardboardy as it warms. Not bad for age. Smoke is mild.

Draft - Dark roast, woody notes and some chocolate notes. Deep jet brown with a nice light brown head. Dark roasty bitterness with a bit of chocolate . Not bad.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out harsh wood, burnt malt, and bitter cocoa. Flavour is harsh, with burnt roasted malt, wood and oak. Not very elegant at all - harsh and burnt. It's okay.

On tap at Port Townsend, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits and caramel malt. Flavour is vey full-bodied, with caramel malt, roasted malt, and dark fruits. Packs a great body, with a slight tinge of alcohol that is perfectly acceptable. Excellent.
