Can from Lawson. Not sure how this is different from the past versions, aside from 0.5% more alcohol. Creamy banana and clove nose. Sweet and creamy flavor, typical weizen cloves, banana. On the sweet and simple side but ok.

New label new abv so new entry. Decent little hefe featuring cloves from a cloudy gold brew with great head retention.

Little spice, ginger maybe. Wheaty, touch of banana, brown sugar?

Bottle - blue with reindeer on it. Cloudy gold with a white head that lasts OK. Wheaty aroma with cloves, lemon, a little banana. The texture is just right - bready but still light with medium high carbonation. Slightly tangy wheaty with a dry and spicy finish. Not much of the spruiked fruit and perhaps not as deeply refreshing as some, but a more than solid hefeweizen.

Can. Sweet, banana, not much wheat, mostly sweetness, quite fruity. Cherry caramel. Alright. Had it straight from the can, so probably not the best situation.

Can from Bic Camera. Hazy very pale yellow colour with white head that fades almost immediately. Aroma is buttery, bit of banana, touch of spice. Taste is similar, quite wheaty, but fruity and buttery too. Aftertaste is very malty. Quite smooth in the mouth, with a bit of a spike from the spice. Alright but not wildly exciting.

Can from the local supermarket. Pale slightly cloudy orange colour with fast fading white head. Aroma is caramel and citrus hoppy. Bit weird. Bit of fruit in there too, apple and pear. Taste is bit too sweet, caramel is there in the background, but the sweetness is full on. Some fruitiness and a bit of a bitter finish, but it is all about the sweetness. Surprisingly flat in the mouth. I don't mind it in a weird way, but will probably not have it again.

Bottle from an online Asian supermarket. Extra marks for the attractive blue bottle. Cloves to the forefront alongside citrus. A banana aroma lurks in the background. Cloudy gold. Frothy translucent white head soon shrunk away. Initial citrus sourness - quite tart. There's an underlying sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Low key fizzy carbonation. Dty finish with an edge of astringency. This as been sat forgotten at work so thought it may have faded but a refreshing Hefe which I could easily have downed on this hot summer day.

Can from Yamaya. Nose is chocolate, banana, clove. Mostly a cocoa-like chocolate. Rather simple. Cloudy brown-orange with a medium head. Cloves, banana, chocolate flavor, rather orthodox, nice cocoa or fudge. Slightly tangy finish. Light body, not very rich. Nice enough. Better than a lot of the stuff they have been putting out lately, though nothing to get too excited about.

Fairly fruity for the style. Modestly refreshing. Body is limp. Pretty boring.
