Description

Cloudy blond with quite some gunk from the bottle. Has an aroma of wet wood, musty and dry. Dry flavour that is overpowered by a strong flavour of alcohol. There’s a chemical smell and taste to this beer drawn mailny from the alcohol dominance.

Bottled at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. A very sparkling, clear, golden beer with a nice white head. It smells quite hoppy, with malt, some spicyness and hay notes as well. Alcohol, hops, spices, some wheat, malt and notes of hay in the flavor. Full-bodied, with a fizzy feeling in the mouth, and a long, hoppy finish with some alcohol to follow. A quite complex beer, and I really liked it. Struggled a bit to pin it, but had a second glass, and that did the job. (070103)

Very dark brown. Tall head that laces the glass and never fades. Malty, fruity aroma. Sweet malt flavor, some yeast and alcohol taste. The alcohol compliments, rather than dominates. Very good, thick and heavy beer that is very much like an Abt.

Deep yellow colour with a thin white head. Big aroma of hop and citrus. Fresh, dry taste with some musty, woody flavours behind the hop.

ZBF 2007 Fast neutraler Geruch, etwas hopfig, minimal malzig.

2006 bottle, 8%. Slightly sweet, yeasty aroma. Hazy golden colour, stable white head. Good, sweetish aroma hop flavour. Fruity and sweet, a bit like a low alcohol tripel.

25 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/black with light brown head. Aroma is fruity (plum and raisins), hops, coffee and malt. Taste has the same in a wineous blend - and what a perfect blend! Fruit, coffee and wineous are the keynotes that I would put to this beer. I have a new favourite!
