Cloudy red-orange with a lasting white head. Aroma of funk, cellar, grapefruit and plum. Dry and very tart fruity flavour with lots of plum and a touch of funk. Well balanced and complex beer

Bottle at the Martin T tasting, CBC, 06/06/13. Big thanks to Bruce for this one. Hazed crimson/amber with a thin white head that clears to bubbles at the edge. Nose is tarte fruit, light smoke, berry fruits, funk, barnyard, woody musty notes. Taste comprises grass, fleshy fruits, rhubarb, farmy, earthy, tarte citrus. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, great puckering finish pitched perfectly. Great stuff.

Picked this up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Sat 25th May 2013. Consumed at home B/H Mon 27th May 2013 This was the 2nd batch reading the description above, so from what I read plummier but less exclusive, I can live with the additional plumminess over the rarity. It pours muddy brown, I did like to think that there was a slight mauve colour to this but that is just wishful thinking, no head atop. Aroma is fruity, funky and if you can smell sour then that as well. Wonderfully tart and with a tanginess and fruitiness that you get from something like a good ol’ English fruit crumble that uses something like rhubarb or similar to really tart it up, but I am not suggesting this has a rhubarb flavour, it doesn’t but the plums have that nice tart, tangy, challenging fruity bite, and I can get them in here. Lip smacker and a mouth awakener but with a slight thickness in the mouth and a late dryness, good stuff, in fact very good, Loz really liked it as well. Might have to get some more of these, they are going to be great in the summer. Marvellous! A7 A3 T9 P5 Ov18 4.2

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 29/04/13. Clear golden with a good sized white head. Nose is grass, farmy notes, citrus, wood, light smoke. Taste comprises neat lime cordial, grass, lemon, light funk, touch of sugar, barn door. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Cracking revitalising stuff!
