Description
Hi, we’re Van Moll. We’re crazy about beer, which is why we brew it. In 2013 we opened a brew pub in the heart of Eindhoven – our very own flavour lab where everyone can sample our creations. Best idea ever!
We try to delight daily with exciting new tastes and flavours. We experiment and balance, treading the fine line between bold and brazen, without going over the top. A fixed selection of core beers and a varied range of exceptional specials.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, that’s when the adventure really starts. We mix tradition and knowledge with a dash of confidence and cockiness to brew up the perfect party. And that’s exactly what it is: a party for the palate for all who dare.
Grote batches worden gebrouwen bij Lighttown Brewers, waar van Moll deel van uitmaakt.

The last of this festival is also the last LCI. Quite heavy beast of a beer, feels like more than 11%. Barrel ageing is a bit stronger, but still pretty well balanced. Boozy, rich, malty, some dried fruit, and bourbon. Quite nice.

There's a lot of things in this beer. Maple brandy? Ok.. There's definitely some roast, and coffee aplenty. Bourbon, check, and some general sweetness and cheap brandy flavours. Not sure it completely works, but the parts are tasty.

Dark brown with thin head. Weird aroma. Mostly cola bottles with some extra vanilla. Flavour is like sour cola bottles with a lemony twist. Can taste the alcohol so I guess it's definitely brewed, not necessarily beer though.

Hazy pale yellow colour with thin head. Quite a herbal taste at first, almost rosemary. Later citrus freshness and a nice dry bitterness.

33cl can from Hoptimaal. Poured clear golden with a dense lasting head. Good looks! Really peppery nose, spicy Belgian yeasty notes. Mouthdrying and light citrusy. Damn tasty blonde ale.

Bottle from Daily Delis, Amsterdam. Hazy amber, huge, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of sherry, wood, biscuit, peanut, ripe grape & pear, red apple, caramel, sweet white wine. Taste has sweet pear & apple in a biscuity, peanutty, tad caramelly malt body with a spicy edge. Grassy & floral hoppy finish, woody, ripe grape & apple notes and warming sweet white wine alcohol, hinting at sherry. Medium body, slick-moussy texture, average carbonation. Debatable whether it's a Saison, and could have been more 'nobly' woody but enjoyable nonetheless.
