Description
Hi, we’re Van Moll. We’re crazy about beer, which is why we brew it. In 2013 we opened a brew pub in the heart of Eindhoven – our very own flavour lab where everyone can sample our creations. Best idea ever!
We try to delight daily with exciting new tastes and flavours. We experiment and balance, treading the fine line between bold and brazen, without going over the top. A fixed selection of core beers and a varied range of exceptional specials.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, that’s when the adventure really starts. We mix tradition and knowledge with a dash of confidence and cockiness to brew up the perfect party. And that’s exactly what it is: a party for the palate for all who dare.
Grote batches worden gebrouwen bij Lighttown Brewers, waar van Moll deel van uitmaakt.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet malt with caramel, orange peel, ripe fruity and spicy notes, hops, berries. Flavour is medium sweet with a surprising long bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. I prefer hoppy Barley Wines and this one's interesting, with lots of unexpected flavours such as (dark) berries, spices and orange peel. Good!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Huge fan of Ennio's cult movie scores, dig the giallo-ish bottle art. Props to Van Moll for doing a Morricone tribute beer and avoiding the obvious dull trap of referring to his spaghetti western scores with the bottle art. Aroma is cocoa with roasted malt, chocolate, tiramisu, coffee, marshmallow, caramel, espresso, and hopjesvla. Flavour is quite sweet with a firm roasted bitterness. Body is medium to full. Rich and bittersweet with a bold aroma and flavour, a pretty fitting tribute to the Master.

From tap at Bierfestival Groningen 2019. Wheaty aroma with lemon, lemongrass, peppery yeast, soft hoppy notes with a decent hoppy bitterness. A little sweetness as well. Medium body. Pretty crisp, refreshing, I like this, pretty fruity.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Grassy hoppy aroma with citrus, soapy notes, some lemon, touch of mango. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is light and a bit watery. Good for an effectively non-alcohol IPA.

Can from Beerdome. Aroma is sweet dark malt with chocolate, maple syrup, caramel, coffee, roast, candy. Flavour is pretty sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is above medium. A bit too sweet for my taste, but the coffee and maple are integrated well.
