Bottle - Light green grape. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Light grape sweet and tartness. Not nearly what I expected from the nose, very muted.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out light acidic notes, pithy berries, and some light funk. Flavour is fairly dry, with light funk, some acidity, and pithy berry notes. A little wood on the end. Not overly complex, and it has a rather astringent acidity on the finish. Decent.

Bottle - Salty, toffee and malty. Deep brown with a dec not beige head. Light acidic, salty and malty. Interesting.

Bottle - Sweet, light raspberry notes and tartness. Dark cloudy reddish pink. Tart sweet berry notes, very acidic but still decent.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark red with no head. Nose brings out loads of fresh raspberries, with light tartness. Flavour is along the same lines, with fresh tart raspberries. Doesn't really taste like a cider, more like a sour ale. Ample acidity on the finish. Not very complex, but it's pleasant to sip in small amounts despite enhancing your chances of acid reflux. Decent.

500ml bottle from Beer Cartel, Sydney. Hazy reddish-brown amber colour, tan foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, grain, grassy, earthy, barnyard, slightly metallic. Taste is sour, citrus rind, berries, grainy, horse blanket, vinegar notes and some earthy bitterness. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry sour citric barnyard finish. Interesting, quite drinkable.

Pours red with a quickly fading head.Nose shows massive funk, lemon, cherry, elderflower.Flavours include a fair whack of acidity, some cherry and lemony funk.

Hand pull at Grape and Grain. Slightly hazy amber with a fine cream head. Aroma of bread, pears, quinces, flowers, bracken. Smells like a bitter. Creamy texture. Taste is quite sour with bitterness and spices at the end. Apples, twigs, lemon, some berries. Sichuan pepper at the end is mild but lingers forever. Refreshing. First draft beer from 2MT for me. As ever, interesting to drink beer from a brewer proceeding by experimentation rather than indulging in it.

Bottle. 10C. Hazy amber. An inch of stable fluffy creamy-beige head. Modest aroma - some caramel, citrus and woody hops. Taste is sweet with some bitterness out the back. There’s also some wood and sour apple juice character. The hop note at the end is crude and a bit nasty. I’m in two minds about this beer. On the one hand, bits of it are crude and some of the tastes verge on the unpleasant. On the other hand, it has character and - dare I say it - terroir. It has that aliveness and rambunctiousness that good low ABV English styles have that so often seems to get eliminated when things are more refined. So many Australian brewers are trying for good: this is a rough draft of great. But it is pretty rough.
