Can. Very hazy pale orange with a fat coat of white head. Plump stone fruit aroma with apricot, peach, grilled pineapple, menthol, bread. A bit more than medium bodied, nectar-like. Apricot and some interesting herbal-tinged ripe tropical fruit before some resin and balancing bitterness. Good, very interesting.

From a 440ml can on 16/6/2024. Might well be my last Deeds rating. Pours near black with a medium to biggish light tan head. Has a quite strong choc cherry nose. The flavour is all bitter-sweet dark chocolate and cherries, with some chocolate brownie notes. Finishes with a firmish roasty, lingering bitterness. Lightly syrupy palate with moderate carbonation. Mildly dessertish. Quite complex and really well balanced. If this is my farewell to Deeds, it's a very nice way to go out.

Can. Just misted pale gold with a good cm of white head. Tropical aroma with pineapple, mandarin, sweet crackers. Light bodied. Needs some bitterness to stop it seeming too like a fruit cup, and there's just enough, with some pepper and a little pine at the end too. Refreshing, coherent.

Can. Cloudy yellowish orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma of pineapple, wintery orange, crackers, passionfruit blossoms. Light bodied, medium high carbonation. Dryish with light crackers, fruit that's perhaps more lemony than suggested by the aroma but still with tropical touches. Dryish & bitter enough at the end. Thirst crushing.

Picking up a few more of these Deeds beers as they won't be seen again. Slightly unclear orange with a fluffy white head. Tropical fruit compote aroma - mango, mandarin - some crackers. A taste belies the fruit cup aroma due to a peppery bitter finish after the fruit and light malt. Decent quaffer.

From a 440ml can on 3/6/2024. Sadly, likely one of my final Deeds ratings. Pours a hazy medium golden with a medium head. Has a moderate fruity nose with apricot dominant. Tastes mainly of apricot, with some orange and mango notes. Has a tangy lightly spicy bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. That it's almost 9 per cent is surprising. Very nice indeed.

Can. One of the last to beam up from the barren hellscape that is Glen Iris. Almost clear amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of spiced oranges, grapefruit, pine sap, juniper. On the lighter end of medium bodied. A little breadcrust sweetness and then a mixture of citrus and spicy/ herbal notes before a bitter finish. I like the combination of fruity and more noble-like hops here.

The last of a handful of remaining new Deeds beers, sadly. Misted gold with a fluffy cm of white head. Aroma of mandarin, pine and pineapple with light crackers. Light bodied and dryish with crackery malt under snappy hops that start citrus and end pine and pepper. Very much the English golden ale end of SIPAs which suits me fine.
