Can. Pretty much black with an inch of tan head. Aroma is quite inviting with light smoke, cream, mocha, burnt caramel. Smooth texture. Just enough roasty presence to underpin. There's smoke, toffee, mocha as the main players, then a little bitterness gently grips. Alcohol is very well hidden. Often when breweries make a big version of a stalwart it ends up crude but this is just both more muscular and finessed.

Canned 21 August. Clear amber with an inch of white head that's slow to fade. 3+ Piney aroma with a touch of honey as well as light bread, pineapple and lemon. Punchy and bitter with lots of pine and some spices but little character to the malt other than sweetness. OK but forgettable.

Can from Slow Beer, Fitzroy, Melbourne. Poured a hazy golden orange colour, with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, mineral, light honey. The flavour is light sweet, with a grainy, yeasty, herbal, honey, light acidic, mineral palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Can from H, massive thanks! Unclear orange with a fast disappearing white head. Wheat, mandarin peel, quite a bit of salt. Not very sour, more mineral funkiness. Quite refreshing!

Can. Hazy orange with a brief white head. Aroma of wheaty funk, obvious salt, mandarins, mango. Lightish with lacto slipperiness, modest fizz. Low key with more funk than sourness, sports drink citrus, a little nudge of bitterness towards the slightly salty finish. Refreshing, low key.

Sampled from the tap at The Local Taphouse. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has earthy tropical fruits with wheat backing. Flavor has tropical fruit and sweet wheat with the slightest tart bite underlying.

From can. Light gold with fine beading. Curious barnyard aroma. Very subtle strawberry with medium sourness and some saltiness. Pedestrian gose.

Can. Light amber with slight pink hue. Some watermelon on nose. Thin, slightly spritz mouthfeel. A hint of salt. Pretty singularly melon. I'm a hose fan, but this is at the less convincing end of the spectrum.
