7 week old can > IPA glass A: Pours very pale straw yellow with slight haze and apparent slight overcarbonation. Huge frothy white head that fell pretty quickly. Big busy bubbles visible. S: Dry underripe orange scent with a sweet hint of bread or dough. T: Dry, bitter and fruity all at once. Orange pith and lemon pulp. Malt very subdued but some faint toast noticed. M: Light as expected with normal to above average carbonation and dry finish. O: Quite good if a bit expensive and maybe not terribly distinctive, but as a fan of the style, I like it. Can labels ABV 4.7%.

Can at Magnolias in Charleston. Poured a clear amber color with a medium sized, fluffy white head. Aroma was juicy hops. There was a little bit of a light earthy, light resin character to it. Tasty.

Rather weak porter, watery and light with an off-putting metallic undertone. Main characteristic is the roasty backbone, bitter and smoky, yet there’s little else going on to play off this base; a yeasty, tangy-cherry middle overwhelms the brew, leaving the finish with a coffee-ish bitterness that seems empty and thin. Not good. No canning date, so judging by the other reviews either this can’s old as hell or something has gone horribly awry.
