Cocoa, peanut butter nose. Black, thin head. Cocoa, raisin peanut, vanilla. Medium body, easy carbonation. Fair amount of richness and complexity in a beer under 8%.

3 week old pint can A: Finely hazed rich gold with 1/2 of thick white foam. Fair retention and sheet lacing. S: Bread, honey, floral and grassy notes. T: A bit tart and noticeably sweet. Citrus and stone fruit hops try to balance toasty and honey-esque malts. M: Medium light with average carbonation and a clean if slightly rough texture. O: Starts off too sweet but a balance is soon struck. Not bad but doesn't strike me as a Summer brew.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Bottle Apostle, South Hackney. Pours clear, deep gold with a fluffy, eggshell cap. Light-medium sweet flavour with wrinkles of oxidation sneaking in (canned in October 2023), some sun-baked pale bread, biscuits, suggestions of citrus, mild bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. OK balance to finish. Drinkable but slightly faded and in general fairly unexciting.

355ml can shared with Blackhaddock in his beer cave. Cheers mate. Pours a clear gold, white head. Balanced pale malt, semi-sweet, middle of the road blonde but a perfectly good quencher nonetheless.
