Bottle from Stadsslijterij Groenmarkt, Zutphen. Aroma is massive Bourbon, roasted malt, alcohol, oak, caramel, dark chocolate, liquorice, notes of vanilla. Flavour is sweet with a decent bitterness. Body is medium to full. Big unbalanced Bourbon, quite boozy. Potent stuff, but not all I had hoped this would be.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, St. Nicolaasga. Aroma is dark malt with lots of caramel, toffee, dried fruits, notes of piney hops and marmalade, orange. Strong bittersweet flavour. Body is a bit above medium. Nicely hoppy and malty Strong Ale

Bottle from Wijn & Whiskyhuis Nijverdal. Aroma is resinous hops with malt, ripe fruits, pine resin, orange marmalade, some tangerine, grapefruit, caramel. Flavour is fairly sweetish with a medium bitterness. Body is medium. Nicely piney and resinous, on the malty side with ripe rather than juicy fruits. Not bad.

Bottle from Wijn & Whiskyhuis Nijverdal. Aroma is citrussy hops with zesty orange peel, grapefruit, some tropical notes, and light pine. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a dry bitter finish. Body is medium. Dry and heavy on the citrus (peel), pleasant but could use more depth.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is malty and slightly hoppy with caramel, toffee, toasted malt, ripe fruity and resinous notes. Flavour is mild sweet with a medium bitterness. Body is medium. Probably not the freshest sample (best before date is hard to make out) but this seems to age gracefully.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is potent Bourbon with roast, dark chocolate, oak, and alcohol. Pretty roasty bitter, some sharpness, medium sweet. Bit sharp, but very nice, the Bourbon is strong but not overboard.
