US Pint can (473ml) into a Good People Brewing Company sleeve glass at home on 19th October 2024. Light golden body, clean and clear, on top a white affair of tight bubbles. Claims to be brewed with honey and orange zest, picking up the orange notes, but not any honey. Pleasant enough and a new, rare (for me) North Carolina rating.

12oz can (6'6% ABV) from The Beers of America. Drank at home on 5th October 2024. Hazy golden orange body, decent white crown sat on top. Orange like aroma and initial taste, other citrus fruits joining in all more bitter than sweet tasting. Dank and dry aftertaste, almost a harsh bitterness towards the finish. Interesting beer, but difficult to rate!

On tap at Mills River. Sparkling rose hip & hibiscus mead. Clear, quick sizzle, bleeding cherry red color. Boozy deep cherry & floral honey nose. Very boozy semi-sweet hibiscus, bittersweet citrus rind, waxy honey residual, rose floral on the tail. Heavy on the hibiscus. Thin-ish, middling soda sizzle, easy drinking. Solidly good.

Pint at the WNC location with family. Off black, opaque, lingering sticky froth. Toasty, sharp, sweet cola nose. Off-sweet, obviously nutty, oily, bitter nut skin, oats, slightly acidic, thin & chalky. Parching. Pretty good-ish.

Wife's selection at the outer Asheville location. Still, slightly hazed, dull medium gold. Smells of peach puree. Tart, twangy peach, half salty, sweet mango juice, lime sourness. American wheat, so just a bit of texture with a thin finish. Okay-ish.

19oz pour at the Asheville/Mills River taproom. Dimpled glass mug. Classic MGD pour, tall & thin head. Sweet butter & slightly dank nose. Bittersweet, veggie, bittergreen danky hops, lingering pine. Thin, steel cut oats, decent acid, strong fizz, off-dry to dry-ish. Pretty good.

Canned 355ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Hazy golden coloured, minimal white head, honeyish floral nose. Sweet and light juicy taste; honey, melon, floral and light wheaty. Interesting in a way.

On tap @ NC Cider Fest. Hazy, deep fresh cider amber. Acidic core, green strawberry nose, obvious. Dry, malic, strong sharp, lemon, potent fresh strawberry; backsweetened. Bit of texture, medium high carb, didn't notice the abv. Kinda pushy but good.

Can as pictured. Slightly hazy pale. Big foamy head that fades rapidly to nil. Nose is certainly that of IPA, lacks that skunk veggie nose that comes with many session IPA. Taste is a little watery fer sher. However it does have a sort of orange juice IPA feel and flavor. Not as bitter as an IPA should be so it makes it a little more enjoyable to me. Slight veggie feel in the background. Decent co2 as well. Oh well, IPA is an IPA; there are a million of them out there and they pretty much all taste the same. This one is just not as bastardly as as most.
