12 oz. snifter at The Archives, Burlington, VT. Black appearance. Aroma is slight peanuts, moderate chocolate, and light roast. Flavor shows Subtle nut butter with chocolate and a hint of sweet sugar and the finish. Body is good for a porter (almost stout like). Nice creamy mouthfeel. Yeah, they really pulled off the chocolate and peanut butter combination. Very tasty!

12 oz. draft at Farmhouse Tap & Grill. Guess the color? It is a beautiful ruby / crimson in color. Aroma is very subtle, mild flowers, mild yeast, and a mineral hint. Flavor is a reflection and I like the delicate character. The finish has a light hibiscus hint.

16 oz. draft at Big Fatty’s BBQ. Cloudy golden appearance. Aroma shows moderate coconut, some fruity yeast, straw. The flavor is a mirror of the aroma. The coconut is noticed though the sip. Kind of overruns the yeast. Body is light with a toasted coconut finish. If you like coconut water, this is your “saison”.

750ml bottle I picked up at the brewery and shared with the DC crew. Pours a hazy gold with some frothy, white head. Nose is mild, some odd fruit, lime, some green grape, lightly vegetal. Flavor has lemon, a little savory herbs like sage, grapefruit, green grape. Tart finish. Simple.

Taster at The Reservoir Waterbury. Slightly hazy deep red brown with a minimal head. Tart lemon and light cherry with bits of sweet caramel malt and bits of earthy funk. Light vinegar rounds this out. Decent, but needs a little work.
