Description
Brocklebank Craft Brewing is a one-and-a-half barrel nanobrewery in Tunbridge. We opened in 2015. We brew all kinds of beers, including IPAs, pilsners, stouts, and fruit beers, and distribute to a dozen bars and restaurants in central Vermont.

Brocklebank is owned by Ben and Anne Linehan. Ben is a master plumber who also owns Brocklebank Craft Plumbing. He started brewing in 2009 and his beers have won ribbons at a number of competitions. Anne organizes the annual Vermont Nanobrewery Festival in August at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds. NanoFest is a celebration of Vermont’s smallest breweries.

16 oz can in a trade with Clarkvv. From the brewery. Thank you! Aroma is caramel malts, mild pine. The flavor is just that. Old school West Coast IPA here. Pine, herb, caramel/ crystal malts.

Can from trade with ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Clear gold/copper with trace sparkle, ring of head and no lacing. Aroma is light pine, pale malts. Taste is strong pine, caramel malts. Smooth, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Good piney flavor, more than resin or bitterness. If this were darker, I would say they were on to a pretty delicious Black IPA... Piques my interest.

Can shared by CLW (courtesy of ClarkVV!)--thanks, guys! Lightly hazy gold, no sparkle, head or lacing. Aroma is more hops--lightly fruity--than malt. Taste is strong malt, with bit of pine, bittering hops. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, malty, slightly piney finish. Not your traditional Pilsner. In my book, that's OK but purists would be disappointed in this.

16 oz can in a trade with Clarkvv. Thank you! Aroma has cracker malt and soft citrus pith. This was brewed like ale and shows a pretty elevated hop profile. Citrus and soft astringent bitterness in the finish. Decent.

Undated can from the brewery, as pictured, drunk 10/28/25.
Wow this smells real soft and round and inviting. Good base ndkt mixing with dark malt producing dark chocolate and caramel. Clean and malty with no toast and light roast.
Bigger dark malt presence in the flavor with dark chocolate and bitter licorice leading through to the finish. The base malt nearly balances it, with an almost syrupy, chewy texture that is somehow not too sweet. I suppose on account of the black malt and hop, which adds dried herbs and pepper.

Brewery draught, 10/4/25.
Lightly hazy, pale, white golden with a small, white head.
Bright, herbaceous and slightly citrusy/peppery hops with big white bread and biscuit from the malt. Clean.
In the mouth, it shows the brewery's signature "thick, chewy" texture. Which maybe doesn't work as well with all of their lagers, though they aren't sweet or syrupy. Just more round and full, like a pale ale or IPA. Some crisp bitterness on the finish, with ample hopping and good cleanliness.

Brewery draught, 10/4/25.
Lightly hazy, warm, honey-to-strawberry-blonde with a small, off-white head.
Raspberry is prominent, with a bit of zippy acidity from currant on the finish. Dough and biscuit and white bread from the malt.
Balanced and with good bitterness/acidity from the fruit. Typical chewy texture with more raspberry than currant. Clean and simple.

Brewery draught, 10/4/25.
Brassy-coppery golden. Clear. Small, white head.
Earthy and dusty with some light caramel and moderate toast. Clean, if maybe a bit of butter from the yeast?
Malty and chewy with the brewery's typical "thick" but not too sweet texture. Some sweet caramel, with pepper, earth, butter and a dusty, old hop character. Seems pretty legit for a weird, old style English ale.

Brewery draught, 10/4/25.
Cloudy, dull strawberry. Small pinkish head.
Jammy fruits with good acidity and well-backed by malts (white bread, biscuit). Seems authentic. Don't really get the basil.
Clean and fruity with a chewy, malty texture and good attenuation. Strawberry is authentic and jammy with good acidity. Again, not much, if any basil character.

Brewery draught, 10/4/25.
Mostly clear, deep, muted brass. Small, white head.
Rich malt with honey, bread, biscuit and just a pinch of peppery smoke phenol. Clean.
Very malty and "thick". Could use a touch more attenuation, perhaps, though it isn't sweet or sticky. It's also minimally smokey with more hop character than smoke. Bread, biscuit, dough, black pepper...
