Bottle at home grabbed from Latham Beverage. Murky red with floaters and fine one finger head. Nose is malt, pine, and berry. Tastes of malts, berry, grape juice, apples, pear, caramel, pine tar, cardboard. Medium bodied and not too sweet.

22 oz. bottle from Prost Beer and Wine, paid $4.25. Nice looking amber / orange color with spotty white head down the sides of the glass. Aroma has a nice bready character with yeast and light earthy malt.
The is a carbon copy of the aroma. The texture has the malt and yeast that gives it a near medium mouthfeel. Texture is dry with the malt giving a lightly sweet finish. Hops are here but hidden by the malt bill as it normally is for the style. The malts and yeast are correct for the Marzen style and it drinks easily enough.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a slim almost finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipates to a concave sticky round-about lacing sticking in a messy sort of way.
The smell started out with a dried caramel malts with a gentle earthy dry nuttiness to it.
The taste rounds out to a balance between the previously noted flavors. Once again, the dried caramel leads into the aftertaste and giving off a quick subtle crisp finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sly roasty nuttiness drying over my palate gently.
Overall, its an okay o-fest/marzen. I don’t mind it for me, but fans of o-fests/marzens, eh maybe, give it a shot, maybe you might like it a tad more than me.

22oz bottle pours a clear gold with some soft, white head. Nose is what you’d expect given the title, light grist, a little peanut skin, yeast and then bright citra hop, orange, a little tangerine. Flavor follows, a bit corny with some grist as well, yeast, peanut skin, light white grape, tangerine, some grass. Crisp finish. Decent enough.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with hues of dark orange/red tints along the sides of the glass. A one finger white to off white foamy level head hung around for a good minute and a half before gracefully dissipating leaving some messy tones of lacing.
The smell started off with a nice blend or roasty to sweet and bitter coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate. Light tones of caramel, nuts, vanilla and dark fruits balance nicely.
The taste was mainly sweet trying to balance in the roasty and bitter portion of the prior flavors. There’s a dry bitter to roasty caramel and nutty aftertaste leading into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Carbonation is refined enough to allow a nice sessionability about it. This one runs fairly smooth and trying to bring about a decent creaminess over my tongue.
Overall, its a good American porter, lightly hopped allowing a nice roasty to sweet blend allowing this beer to be what it is. I’d have again.
Nice fruit and malt taste. 100% naturally carbonated. Interesting color. Thanks NFB!
