Bottled 330ml. -from Roybeer Milano. Black coloured, small to medium sized cappuccino head, pleasant coffee and chocolate nose. Light roasted malt, ground coffee, light chocolate and touch of alcohol with mild vanilla presence in the finish. Just good.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata brillante, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di malto, pane, leggero affumicato, erbaceo. In bocca ha una maltatura importante, dolce all'attacco, con affumicatura media e una punta di amaro finale. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Non male.

On tap @Sam Beer (Rome). Dorata, limpida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di frutta tropicale, cocco, erbaceo. In bocca è un filo sbilanciata, con un amaro che potrebbe essere dosato meglio. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Comunque discreta.

Cask. Ranzani 13, Bologna. Nearly black. Soapy suds of beige. Nose has earthy coffee. Dark fruit. Dark chocolate. Taste is a little sweet, with an earthy, chocolatey bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Finish is earthy, chocolatey, and a little dry. Easy drinking stout.

Tap. Madama Beersrto, Bologna. Mostly clear gold. Thick, whipped head of white. Nose has sweet grain. Cut grass. Lemon leaf. Taste is surprisingly bitter with green hop and leaf. Some grain sweetness. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Fair bitterness to finish. Decent.

Cask at Ranzani 13, Bologna, Italy. Pours dark plum, almost black, with limited cappuccino foam, very fine. Aroma is weak but nice, of coffeea little vanilla. Body is surprisingly light for imperial stout, even at 8 degrees. Carbonation almost agent (cask, after all). Taste is fairly sweet, with moderate bitterness and roastiness. Finish is also surprisingly short for such a beer.

On tap @So Good (Rome). Gialla acida, torbida, schiuma bianca media, molto persistente. Al naso note di scorza di limone, citronella, fiori bianchi, spezie. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con lieve amaro e lieve nota acidula, equilibrata, tutto sommato gradevole. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Buona.
