Description
From a humble fruit comes a Noble Cider. We started with a simple mission and very little cash! After cobbling together enough funds to build an apple press and with a few connections at local orchards, we began our journey to create Asheville's first hard cider company.

Hard cider was America’s original craft beverage. Founded in the new 'Craft Brew Mecca' of Asheville and North Carolina's apple country, Noble brings together a rich local history of agriculture with this region’s exciting craft beverage industry.

Our goal is to craft delicious ciders using fresh fruit with no artificial flavors or ingredients. Today we offer a full range of Traditional and New American ciders and meads. Noble can be found on tap and in bottles in select cities throughout the Southeast. We hope you enjoy our products!

FRESH-PRESSED APPLES.

12oz can from Appalachian. Goblet @home. Frothy pour, hazy gold ipa. Nose is citrus peel, fruit juice, plastic, salt. Obvious wax as it warms. Taste upfront is Oranjina, acidic & very citrusy. Backend is bitter wax & some residual earthy honey. Yeast & orange peel on the finish. Taste is natural & more bitter/tangy/sour than straight sweet. Prickly, but not strong carbonation. Runny, not syrupy. Mellow alcohol. Might be the first session mead I've actually enjoyed.

Part of a flight at the Asheville location. Clear, full, mostly still, fake blood red. Smells all of wax. Taste is very waxy. Blackberry, acidic apple, more wax. Low abv, some froth; Easy. Just so much wax.

Taster in Asheville. Cloudy, pale gold, still pour. Nose is soapy, herbal, Sidra, lemon, gum, even more soap. Really tastes & feels like I squirted some dish soap in my mouth. Slick, acidic, mellow abv. No.

Taster at the Asheville location in Feb '22. Clear, deep cherry red; still. Smells like savory & spicy chilis; Very green. Taste is super green, herbal chilis with some cooling cherry jam. Very lingering, acidic, but not hot. Fun.

Mild bourbon aroma, golden red color. Taste is semi-sweet fruit cider, mild dessert spice, woody spirits, dry finish. Nice balance.

12oz can from Tavour. Bright orange/golden, a bit of fuzz, then still. Aroma is cinnamon and savory spice, faint apple notes. Apples take over in the taste, the cinnamon, clove and cardamom providing flavorful support. More of a fall cider

Noble Blackberry Peach Crumble Cider 6.6% Red like cranberry juice, highly carbonated with a sweet fruit punch aroma. Medium to light bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste gives some of that apple brandy and spice but I don’t get peach or even cider from it really. It kind of reminds me of a nice wine cooler, a touch gassy but a decent drop.

On tap @TreeRock 1/16/22. Short pour. Oily, opaque, lacey, gold. Smells booze & miscellaneous berries. Taste is yeasty & acidic. Not too bold flavors of peach, grape, sour orange, bittersweet apple & sweet pear. Chewy feel, okay carbonation, obvious abv, textured. Not terrible. Don't want another. 2.5 On tap 2/18/22 @NobleAVL. Short pour. Why did I get another? Dull, flat, pineapple juice body. Smells of pineapple with some additional floral aspects. Tropical, apple, pineapple, papaya juice. Sharp, good acid. Barely cider. Thin, sharp, very acidic. Just okay. 3

12oz can from TreeRock @home. Pint glass. Clear, spritzy, blueberry/grape drank color. Tall head. Strong, wafting, dry blueberry, herbal nose. Taste is bittersweet & tannic blueberry muffins, mint & sweet cider. Just a twinge of bitterness. Backsweetened. Lingering menthol. Surprisingly okay combo, just too sugary. Low carbonation, some honey slickness, strong for the abv. Okay.

Single can from Appalachian. Mojito glass sans mojito @home. Strong splash & pour, clear, ho-hum, boring gold. Phenolic, minty, perceivable-y bitter. Not getting a ton to work with here. Clove, banana, vanillan, aftershave, harsh oak, cheap champagne. Bittersharp & quite tannic apples through & through. Almost completely dry. Low to moderate carb, slightly creamy, hard abv for the list. Less off than their French cidre, but not as tasty.
