Cask at GBBF 2023 - Day 1. Pours clear yellow gold with a small, foamy white head. Citrusy hops, lean pale mats, lemon and grapefruit. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, clean pale malts, more citrusy hops. Very drinkable.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. A light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dry pale malts, sweet enough. Good smooth pine, decent piney ripe citrus. Little citric peel and some ripeish tropical fruits on the back end. Dry finish. Tidy brew, bit dry.

Aggressive hop spice. Good combo of citrus and tropical fruits. Spicy hop semi dry finish. Good hoppage, very good.

deep deep amber color. Beautiful mineral, Apricot and cherry nose. Malty, smooth, big mineral, stewed apricot, cherries. Too big body and malty for the style. I prefer cleaner and direr but I can understand why people like this.

Burning Beard Normcore Czech-style Pilsner 5.5% Deeper gold than the BBR with a thin finger of fizzy white foam. The aroma is grainy sweet malts with perfume floral hops. Medium to full bodied with a nice crisp finish and fruity notes in the aftertaste. Nice solid beer.

First up is Burning Beer BBR American Lager 4.8% Ultra-pale straw gold with big soapy light white foam that was gone in a blink. Grainy sweet aroma that’s almost corn syrupy. The taste is sweet lager, corn chips with a raspy carbonic finish. Crisp and dry but a touch gassy. Grain and grassy hops. It’s a US lager with a small dab of extra flavor as it’s craft. Ok.
