Can from the LCBO. Pours a mildly cloudy blonde with a bunch of fluffy white head that's stubborn. So waiting for that to settle down. ....dum de dum.....fa la la... good enough! Taste is fairly sweet doughy malt, with pine, some light resin and bitterness that lingers. Some citrus pith too, in the finish. It's okay. The balance feel a little off with its sweetness.

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed pale gold with a one finger foamy white cap that fades slowly producing stringy lace. Nose is citrus, honey , stone fruit, mango and melon. Light melon sweetness with a medium- citrus peel and pineapple bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a juicy finish.

Hazy amber pour with a small white head.
Aroma is very vinous with alot of vanilla and quite a bit of earthy barrel. The wheat ale seems lost in here. Full mouthfeel, and a very soft carb. Finish is very light on the bitterness and the barrel dominates again. Loads of earthy barrel with hints of vanilla and malted wheat with a solid red wine vinous note. A barrel bomb.

Pours like flat cola, barely any head. Sweet, bready malts, and a boat load of candy sugar, and some slight spice. body and mouth feel are Watery, carb is basically flat. finish is incredibly sweet, malts are muddy and the the candy sugar is over the top. This is a mess.

Bottle from the lcbo. Slightly hazy copper, with a large white head. Basil is soft but up front. Hints of piney hops and some crackery malts. Mouthfeel was soft, carb is the same. Finish is herbal, nice basil finish with a medium bitterness. I enjoyed this, soft and very quaffable.

A clear light golden pour with a medium white head. Sweet cereal aroma, with some toasted grains and hints of floral honey, and some light vanilla. The body is medium, with a good carb. The finish is slightly sweet with a distinct vanilla end. Refreshing, but bordering on too sweet.

Quite malty, and bready, with some distinct pretzel aroma and flavour. Some pine resins and fresh cut grass. Quite bitter for the style and a little too heavy on the cereals, and not enough hops. Decent but nothing special.

Lots of roast, but not up to what i would expect from an imperial stout. Notes of cococa and soy, and some coffee. Hops are also upfront, lots of pine, and resins. Mouth feel is a touch thin for an imperial stout, and the carb is quite soft. Strong hoppy finish, with quite a bit of roast. I do see the black ipa/imperial stout hybrid idea, but it detracts too much from the pleasant characteristics of an imoerial stout.
