Description
Henderson Brewery was founded in 2013, after industry veterans and beer lovers Steve Himel and Adin Wener decided there was an opportunity to apply craft brewing values and techniques to more approachable beer styles, in order to make beer that anyone would be happy to find in their fridge day after day.
Work began on our Sterling Road brewery in the summer of 2015. In January 2016, we sold our first beer at The Rhino in Parkdale and by May of that year, our taproom and bottle shop were in full swing!
Over the past decade, we've brewed hundreds of different styles, hosted hundreds of thousands of people, packaged millions of litres of beer, and won dozens of brewing awards

This IPA poured a deep yellow colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include sweet malt, corn syrup, hay, cooked veggies and a wee bit of grass. First swig was hoppy with a medium bitterness. Sweet up front and bitter out back. Flavours of hops, grass, pine, honey and malt. Finish is medium hop bitterness with grassy notes lingering.

355ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, earth, coffee and light smoke. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, burnt caramel, ash and light smoke in a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A little thin for the style, but still enjoyable.

500mL bottle (thanks Matt). Pours clear gold with a small white head. Very dusty grape must, a bit cheesy, some Belgian character on the nose. Flavour has an estery yeast character, some berry-like pinot noir, some armpits. On the sweet side, needs more carbonation, but a nice idea.

Smooth, malty and slightly bready with some ripeish fruits, citrus, spices, grapefruit and grass, hints of earthiness and yeastiness, slightly funky. Surprisingly complex and balanced. -.-- -.-- --..
