500mL capped bottle poured into a snifter/tulip glass. Thick dark ruby, no clarity, not much head. Bottle says 90% attenuation and Brett L. Right away I know there is way more than just Brett L. This is their take on a Flemish Red/Oud Bruin. I would guess barrel aged but maybe just other wild yeasts added. Aroma has a bit roast, a bit chocolate, an earthy musk (a little apple skin, sour cherry). Flavor has a more pronounced sourness, not strong but an earthy and musky sourness with light cocoa, earth, and dark fruit. An evaporating and tingling mouthfeel. A delightful take on the style.

500mL capped bottle. No date. Interesting label, tells me its89% attenuated. Made with Brett L. Cap pops hard but no gushing or rushing. First pours are big and foamy. Color is very pale and hazy. This is much more acidic and sour than any brett beer I have ever tried, So, that is weird. And it is missing any of the traditional bretty funk or herbalness I am used to. To be fair, I have not had a lot of Brett L beers but this is atypical. I like the Belgian pale with tartness and sourness. Drying, slightly puckering and has some lemony flavors.

Pinkish purple lighter brown haze. Slight volatile sweeter perfumy nose. Not as expected from the first taste. Some tartness fer sure but this stuff is sweet bordering on cloying. Difficult at times. Some typical beer bitterness as a backbone. That perfumy smell carries over to the taste, very influential on the palate. Yes, that perfumy feeling even ends up sticking to the back of your throat. A difficult higher alky brew that probably is not really a sour beer. Very expensive and not worth it. JMHO

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a tulip. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is soft tart, light body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart and peach.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was yeasty and sweetish with notes of yogurt, citrus, and a hint of cider vinegar. The flavor was tart, lactic, sourish and yeasty with a bit of lemon. Medium length finish of yeast and lemon. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and a bit musty with chalk and citrus notes. The flavor was tart, sour and chalky with citrus and Sweettart candies. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

500 ml bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge raisin, prune, plum, fig, date, cherry, berry, apricot, mango, orange, apple, red wine, toasted oak, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and brown bread; with lighter notes of chocolate, nuttiness, hay, leathery funk, pepper, vanilla, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, wine barrel, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge raisin, prune, plum, fig, date, cherry, berry, apricot, mango, orange, apple, red wine, toasted oak, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and brown bread; with lighter notes of chocolate, nuttiness, hay, leathery funk, pepper, vanilla, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Light peppery Brett and tannic wine/oak spiciness; with slight tangy tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark fruit, cherry, berry, apricot, mango, orange, apple, red wine, toasted oak, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, light leathery funk/pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, wine barrel, and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slight dryness from tart/tangy/spicy notes as well. Medium-high carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly slick/acidic/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is extremely well hidden; a mild warmth with zero booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an insane Belgian barleywine style! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, wine barrel, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. Very rich and complex on Brett and malt flavors, without being too funky/sweet. Great wine barrel presence, without being too tannic/drying. A highly amazing offering.

Bottle: Clear, finely bubbled gold with a small white head. Pear, lemon, grain aroma. Taste is mildly tart, sweet fruit, pear..... A nice low-level funkiness. Bright and lively......really good.

Draft pour at Uber Tavern, Seattle. From notes. Hazy golden pour with a quick fading head. A sweet fruit, very cool. Sweet over tart for sure. White grape and slight cherry. Fruity, and quite juicy throughout, and lingering. Sour kicks in late. Fun, tasty, unique brew.

Draft @ Uber. Bretty-hoppy nose. Raspberry notes on the palate, soft tart, beautiful...has a nice balance. Would like to revisit this at some point.
