Dried leaves, caramel, bran nose, hearty. Clear dark copper, thin head. Bran cereal flavor, lightly sweet. Excceptionally true to style, at least the way I view amber ales.

Yeasty tea nose. Crystal clear amber, thin head but enduring. Tea and dried leaves, very little fruitiness. Medium body. APA or amber? If the lattr it’s a dwcent example. Not very hoppy.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy brown color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tart cider apples, mild whiskey, mild chocolate. The taste is tart cider apples, mild whiskey, caramel malts. Medium bodied, slight booze, medium bodied. Too bright and doesn’t meld well.

Draft at Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a dark amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, crackery malts, salt and umami. The taste matches with some faint hoppiness. My comment at the time was "hopped ramen." Weird beer. Medium bodied.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized creamy offwhite head. Decent head retention. Aroma of strong herbal notes, plums, caramel malts. The taste is plums, other stone fruits, herbal hops and mild caramel malts. Medium bodied.

Tap from brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown color with a creamy thick tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, chocolate, and a ton of coffee. Flavor was, espresso coffee, with notes of roasted malts. Not a fan of coffee? You might want to pass on it.

Tap at brewery. Poured an amber color with a tiny off-white head. Aroma was malts, spice notes, fruits. Flavor was malts, weak spice, a touch of mostly earthy hops. Okay attempt at the style.

Tap at brewery. Poured a very hazy yellow/orange color, creamy medium sized white head. Aroma was yeasty, dough, with notes of caramel, spices. Flavor was very yeasty, with spice, caramel notes. Went in with low expectations, and was quite happy with the results.
