On tap at Craft&Draft. Clear orange colour, white head. Aroma is quite sweet, candy, like La Trappe Tripel or Quadrupel, fruity, not very hoppy at all. Flavour is all about sweet candy and fruit flavours, lacks any hop. I hope they get the beers fresher next time, 3 (D)IPA’s in a row that lack hoppiness.

Bottle. Black oily pour, small brownish head. Aroma of boozy apple, cacao, brandy and vanilla. Very full and rich taste of apple, vanilla, roasted malt, red fruit, a little coffee and some bitter hops and brandy in the finish. Thick body, soft mouthfeel. This is very good, amazing ba impy, somehow it really has a mediteranian touch.

Nice ...

Taste malts, lightly roasted malts, hops, liquorice, towards the end a roasty coffee bitter briefly overpowers the liquorice. Finish is full flavoured and pretty bitter. Medium to full body, suitable carbonation.
