Caña en el Kraken Oviedo 21..02..2020. Color amarillento velado turbio con espuma blanca persistente fina. Sabores frescos maltosos con toques herbales algo resinosos y ligeros cítricos. Cuerpo medio con bastante sabor y buena densidad, fina y espumosa. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda alguna

Appearance: Black as night. Very fragile head. Dissapeared in a flash. No lacing at all.

Aroma: Middle intensive. Chocolate - barrel - bourbon. After a bit of time: Coffee. The smell bocomes more intensive, sweet and complex with a time. I think I started the one too cold

Flavor: Bitter chocolate, wallnut, bitterness, small counter. Dry with coffee finish. This beer is for slow sipping. Definitely not easy going and drinklable for me. Million miles away from " team diabetes ".

Texture: Thick, full, warming, boozy. Long dry finish

Overall: With a bit of sweet choc or favourite bar around is really nice one. For me an option for long winter night. Without a threat that I ll be drunk to fast. Sophisticated and powerfull. But not for every now and again

Keg at GBBF ‘19, day three, 08/08/19. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is dried fruits, spice, clove, toffee, dusty fruits. Taste comprises fruit cake, dark malts, mellow spice, stewed fruits. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff but lacking depth for the hefty ABV.

Bottle, at B2. Dark brown to black in the glass, topped by a small light tan head. The aroma has roasted malts, brown sugar, licorice, some molasses and a touch of oat and alcohol. It's full bodied and softly carbonated, with a light warmth. Semi-sweet, with flavors of roasted malts, licorice, molasses and a touch of brown sugar and alcohol. Long, quite sweet finish. Delicious, and dangerously easy drinkable. 200107

Bottle, at B2. It's close to black in the glass, topped by a dark beige head of moderate size. It has a quite heavy aroma with molasses, roasted malts and burnt hints, caramel sauce, dark rye bread and touch of brown sugar and herbs. It's full bodied, lightly warming and quite sweet, with a soft carbonation. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, caramel sauce and dark sourdough rye bread in the flavor. Lasting malty finish. A delicious and dangerously easy drinkable imperial stout. 200105

bottle from b2 burger, gran canaria pours pitch black and thick as oil. no head. aroma of hard roasted malts, licorice, faint coffee. flavor is roasted malts, licorice, coffee. some bitterness towards the end that i can't place. sort of charred woody bitterness or perhaps alc. bitterness. also some sweetness in there, dark brown sugar and rye. Tastes like it's been lagered on whiskey or perhaps rum barrels. then sweetness would be from the booze. Very tasty black beer.
