Bottle from Wine Reserve, Cobham. Aroma is vinous, tart. Fruity. Herbs. Clear amber. Foamy translucent white head soon almost entirely disappears. Medium-heavy sour. Vinous. Herbal. Fruity. (Repeating myself). Sherbet. The cloves I'd associate with the style are present but the barrel aging has obscured the other Wit elements. Dry. Crisp. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Finish is Long, astringent, as well as the other facets I mentioned earlier. Sat listening to Light Bearer's emo crust and this beer just adds to the mood.

16oz can at a share pours gold with some white head. Nose has all you'd expect from JP, the sour base is there with lemon juice, some neutral barrel and then plenty of white berry and tart rhubarb. Flavor is basically the same, the spring fruits, sour base, some green grape and some funky tart barrel. Bordering on acetic but refreshing too.

Poured a golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light lemon, very subtle. Mild yeast character, mild tartness. Light, very easy to drink. Light tart rhubarb. At a DCBeer share.

On tap at the Detroit location. Pours a deep brown with an off-white head. Wild mint, cocoa, and tart fruit in the aroma. Flavor is sour red grape and cocoa brightened with the touch of wild mint. Not super minty, but definitely there. Quite good.

04/24/20 Bottle from Wolf Brew in NC around the start of the new year. Short goblets at home. Quick-hitting, thin, dirty white head. Dirty, translucent, bubbly, dark red/brown body. Smells like a macerated sour brown ale. Nothing much identifying the extra ingredients. Taste is a sour brown with lots of lime zest & a twinge of pineapple juice. Vinegary & Jolly Pumpkin appropriately sour. First hit is well carbonated, turning to just a slight but constant fizz. Yeasty, but runny texture, alcohol is fine. Wanted more mai tai. A little messy as a basic sour. Expensive.
