Tastes "like a super sweet pickle," so says the boy.

Extremely well balanced beer. It's spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Yeasty but not chewy. very good.

Haven't had a full glass of water since the starting of the second quarter, so in football time that's 100 million minutes.

On tap. Pours a hazy mahogany color with light head. Aromas of dried fruit, floral Belgian yeast and toasted malts. Flavors of Christmas cake spice, candied fruit, kinda tart stoned fruit skins and toasted malts. Along the lines of a really nice Belgian Xmas beer.

Musty, woody, lime, blackberry, biscuit malt, and dry hay aroma. Pale red with small head. Lightly sweet lime, blackberry, biscuit malt, moderately sour Brett/vinegar, and mildly bitter dry musty hay flavor. Good body. Very dry.

Notes from September 2013 Batch: 1015/1016. Hibernating in the fridge last few months. Served nice & sweaty. Ommegang Anniversary glass. Off-white, whipped cream head that quickly retreated. Foggy, amber, honey-ish, body. Nucleation from some lonely, misguided sediment. Acidic, sour cherry pit tang on my first whiff. A little soapy, a little yeasty. Grandma sat in this chair not too long ago. More pits in the flavor. Touch of saline/sweat. Soft tang. Just a bit of faded hibiscus tea remains. Doughy sweet, leading to a long, lingering, astringent finish. Zesty, even a bit irritating. Fluffy/starchy body, but heavy on the suds. Alcohol kept in check. Iz good.

Notes from October 2013 Bottle from some creepy cat lady in Iowa. Had this a couple times, but never got to sit down with it. Batch 1068/1069. Fluted tulip. Half inch of lingering fluffy lather. Black with brown highlights. Tangy, lightly roasted, black patent-ish, confused smell. I guess this is what they were going for. Minerally & twangy upfront, then comes the bitter roasted coffee. That sticks around for a bit longer then I'd like. Something else hides in your throat, something unspecific-ly fruity. Big, harsh carbonation. Mellow abv. Frothy, but thin. Might have been a touch fruitier completely fresh out the gate. Second half of the bottle sloshed nicely though.
