12oz can. Not really a classical Witbier, as it is sour. Still really nice and enjoyable. Orange peel and coriander still come through. Light and sessionable, but some sour complexities. Good.

750ml from the lcbo.
Cloudy oranger pour, huge, gushy, hard to pour white head. The aroma is pleasantly tart with some green, acidic hops and yeast notes.
The carb is a tad subdued to what i was expecting and the mouth feel is fibe. The finish is quite fruity, lots of orange, and lemon with some citrus zest from the green hops. The malted wheat really comes through in the finish. Medium to low bitterness, a superbly easy drinking beer. The tartness is very welcome to a normally boring style.

bottle at le cheval blanc.
Dark brown pour, thin beige head.
Aroma of dark fruity malts, and some light citrus. Quite complex. The oak comes through in droves once it warms. It actually kinda takes away from the light citrus. Nice beer, but might be a little complex for its own good, and the oak really takes from some of the subtle nuances.

gold label on my bottle says 16 months in oak. not sure which version this is. DEEP burgundy pour with a beige head that didnt last very long. Aroma if loaded with oak, red wine vinegar, and some balsamic vinegar with a light fruitiness. Flavor is robust, and extremely tart. Lots of fruit, like cherries, and plums, but the oak just dominates the finish. Slight vanilla, in the end. Its semi dry, and the oak lingers. I like it. its a sipper even at 7%.

A nice funky saison aroma, even funkier than i expected, with some great dark fruit esters. A nice funky flavour loaded with plums, and some apples. Interesting stuff, i like this take on the style.

330ml bottle.
nice golden straw color. HUGE white head, wicked lacing on my glass. Aroma is sooooooooo nice. Big peppery notes. Lots of apples, and plums, and some citrus, coupled with that great saison pepperiness is outstanding! Flavour is so complex. Slight tartness reminds me of a lambic, but its so smooth. Great fruit, and peppery notes. Lots of sour hops. Wow, just a wicked saison. One of my new favorites for the style.

750ml bottle at Dieu Du Ciel.
Cloudy brown color. Nose of cherries, yeast, some slight floral aromas, and a good amount of sour funk.
The flavour is sour, and funky, and the chrries really come through, its very much like a good malty sour cherry, very interesting, but extremely drinkable!
