This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-dark brown color with light hues of hazy burnt amber along the sides of the glass. Stringy messy lacing clings and softly slides into the beer.
The smell had a rich deep sweet milk chocolate malt with a luscious roasty coffee in the background.
The taste was mainly sweet through the combination of chocolate and creamy smooth vanilla. Coffee is barely there. A nice sweet sticky chocolate aftertaste leads to a sticky sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed fairly subdued but still good for the style and for me. Creamy subtleties roll over my tongue nicely.
Overall, I say this was a nice bock I would have again, perfect Easter dessert.

Not as red as some below have said. On tap at bowswers. Actually looks like a slightly hazy pale lager. Slight friendly aroma of cinnamon apple pie. Yes, initially there is lots of cinnamon in this. Could not imagine drinken more than a glass of this stuff, way too spicy. Taste is expected, cinny flavored high alky lager. Heat follows each slug. Not sure if its the alky or if its the spices but I seem to get more used to this as the session continues. Yes, seems to get better as I drink more, heheh. Decent co2 all round, makes it better than I think it should be. Overall a kick ass high gravity lager or cheap American ice lager with cinnamon. Different fer sure for an Iron.

On tap at the bowsers. First smell in the glass a wharfing aroma of chocolate all over the bar, every body’s asking. The look is very dark, this appears to be a true craft beer, in a all attributes. Feel is good co2. Taste is rather mil chocolate from the start. Not like bitter dark chocolate, more like milk chocolate. Nice tan foamy head. Not over the top like so many choco beers. During the session I also detect a slight tartness to it that makes me thing happy. Much better than expected, very happy with this surprise. Over all it hides the supposedly high alky thing well, never know this is over 5%. Lots aof chocolate in here from start to end fer sure. Better done than most chocolate beers. I’m liking this.

Bottle: Pours clear, pale gold with a small white head. Light grain, corn malt aroma. Corn...malts...grain flavours. Less sweet than the regular version, less fruity, but more crisp.... Neutral feeling. Watery, but ok for a light beer.
