-1 point for the annoying, pretentious wax. No head to speak of; ink-black beer. Whisky, solvent, tarr, benzene, shoepolish, estery, fusels. Both sweetish-grapey and tarry-Islay-peat. Orange liqueur. Just a hint at smoke-mineral, DMS. The aftertaste has a vinous acidity. Fiery alcoholheat and -burn. Very slick-oily, full bodied, not much carbonation. Special, in many ways. Ridiculous price tag, amounting to 1 €/cl.

Alehub Advent Calender 2023. A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of white grapes, wood, caramel, some brett. Taste of sour red grapes, wine barrel, woody, leading to a dry tart finish.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Barrel Bash (Big Wood) 2023, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle brett and rustic saison yeast. Flavour is full of tart citrus upfront, followed by rustic saison yeast, and toasted grains. Citrusy, tart and decently balanced, but not particularly refined. Decent.

Bottle. (thanks Eddan) Hazy dark golden with a small white head. Sour with grapes, oak, citrus and some vinegar.

33 cl bottle at BrewWild, Madrid, labeled as fruited gose aged in oloroso casks. A clear pale golden pour with a greenish cast and no head whatsoever. Aroma is brine, papaya, prickly pear, kumquat. And, to begin with, a hint of funk, but it goes away rapidly, so my guess is some live yeast remained within the bottle and I got some fermentation funky gas just as the bottle got open. Dry, fizzy, really tart. Low body, but very long-lasting finish with loads of peach and passionfruit. Boy, is this a good one.

Brassigaume 2023. Very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of mid sweet dark malt, chocolate, caramel. Taste of sweet dark chocolate malt, tonka, vanilla, some liquorice, sticky finish.
