On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good balance of piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is robust, with lots of piney and resinous hops dominating, with a medium sweet biscuity caramel malt body. Standard but well-done for what it is. Can't complain at all.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light pear, along with Belgian yeast and cereal notes. Flavour brings out a lovely pear quality along with Belgian yeast and cereal malt. The pear is very well-situated. Clean and easy to drink, scarily hiding the 9.5%. Really good.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, cereal notes and dough. Flavour is along the same lines, with a lovely Belgian yeast quality, lots of fruity esters, dough and cereal malt. Not especially complex, but it's robust and well-balanced. Very good.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is actually fairly subdued on the mangos, with some resinous hops. Flavour is big on the mango, though it comes across as rather muted and like it's fuzzy mango skin or something. Low in the hop character. A bit muffled. Decent but needs work.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent resinous hops, some light tropical fruitiness and biscuity malt. Flavour is huge on the resinous hops upfront, along with some pine and a sweet caramel malt backbone that really steals the finish. Sweet and sticky, as well as massively hoppy, though with little astringency on the finish. Nice stuff.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours a hazy peachy yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out all sorts of wild yeast, a touch of funk, and a thorough dryness without much fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of lacto, various other wild yeast, some peaches and light-medium tartness. Not overly complex, but it works well.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of coffee, considerable sweetness from what I gather is lactose and light roast. Flavour is more heavy on the coffee upfront, followed by light lactose and a little vanilla. This is a coffee bomb though. Really nice for what it is.

On tap at The Beer Research Institute, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt upfront, followed by pungent piney hops, and a little dry cocoa. Flavour is robust, with a wonderful mix of roasted malt and piney hops. Dry but not bitter or harsh in any way. Impeccably balanced. An excellent by the books black IPA.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a lightly hazed (hop haze! ) deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a full light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up tangerines, grapefruit, a resiny pine like hoppiness and then a mild booze fruit hard candy sense at the end of the draw. The taste begins smooth and soft and feels almost nitro tapped. It quickly builds up bitter mango, grapefruit and some pine hoppiness. Inside the hop bitterness are juicy notes of cantaloupe, peach and mango. At the core of the experience is a malt infused modestly boozy note that reminds you of the large wide abv. At times a candy like sugar boosting note is noticed as well. This is a nice big softly bruising beer.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up pear, bubble gum and banana softened cloves with more apples and pears into the end of the draw. The taste delivers smoothed out spicy cloves, sweet banana, sugary malt infused bubble gum and then softer sweet apricot and pear notes. It gets faintly sweet bread like into the finish. Nice tripel interpretation that steers clear of being overly sweet somehow.
