12 ounce bottle. Medium gold color. Small creamy white head. Grainy malt nose hints at subtle blueberry. Flavor is light grain with notes of corn and berry. Bland and disappointing.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is cloudy yellow/orange/brown (like a light cider) with 2-finger width off white foamy head with fair retention and trace sudsy lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruits, citrus. Taste is tropical fruit, dank resiny bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and dry, bitter finish. Overall, sweetness of the aroma does not fully carry over to the taste with bitter balance that is more than I'd prefer.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Pineapple and mango aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and passionfruit upfront turning to pith in the lasting finish.

Its been a while since I’ve had ANYTHING from Wachusett, always thought they were mediocre at best. Can from Todd last night at Home brew club. Deep gold slightly hazy thin white head. Rich lightly bready malt with hints of caramel. Wow lots of earthy citrus tropical and pine from the hops. Wow that was a surprise, thats quite an IPA right there!

Looks like double Citra. Smells like Abner but maybe a bit more juicy. The head is sticky and off-white. lots of big bubbles. It’s very thin in the mouthfeel. astringent bitter orange, clementine, a lot of pine essence as well.

12 oz. can that was a blind tasting. Thank you Chalumeaux. Thank you! Aroma of scallions, pine, grapefruit. The flavor reminds me of a top tier New England IPA. The grass, pine, and grapefruit are alive and kicking. Nice bitterness that is balanced with like pale grain. I am shocked how good this is. Very good! Can dated 5/1/17.

Canned 4/6/17, drunk 4/27/17.
No agitation/swirling pour: Medium haze. Honey amber. Small white head with moderate retention.
Not overly strong/intensely aromatic but there is a solid juiciness here. Mango and pineapple at the forefront, with low malt character. Bit of grapefruit on the end with no booze.
Dry with light cracker-like malt and low, somewhat loose carbonation providing a fairly soft texture. Good maltiness to it, despite the strong attenuation and a fair amount of spicy bitterness that easily balances but doesn’t get tacky or go overboard. The ester and light alcohol is a touch strong on the finish but lots of juicy hop character helps mitigate this, for the most part.
With agitation/swirling of sediment pour: Heavily hazy, bordering soupy. Huge, white, well-retained head.
Still not intensely aromatic but what is there is nice. The yeast/wheat/hop sediment makes for a softer, less spicy/grapefruit-laden nose.
Texture improved, of course. Overall a bit muted with some yeastiness and no real intense juiciness but VERY solid stuff. By far the best beer they’ve put out. I never really doubted they could brew a good beer, but they just filter the shit out of everything, so it was nice to try this one.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange almost copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated immediately.
No lace.
The aroma had some pumpkin sweetness, light ginger, allspice, doughy malts, caramel sweetness and some leather.
The flavor was moderately sweet with the spices not blending as well as I had hoped for. Aftertaste was disengaged from spices to malts. Finish was spicy.
The palate was between light and medium bodied. Low sessionability. Decent carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, better pumpkin ales on the market, probably not again for me.
