Bottle from the brewery. Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of grapefruit peel, prune, old toast, walnut, mango, coffee filter, cheese. Taste has sweetish mango & mandarin, toasty & nutty maltiness, some spicy notes. Peppery hoppy finish, bitter grapefruity, quite pithy, with warming vodka-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Decent but gives the impression that it's coarsely executed.

16 oz. can from Orem, Utah State liquor store. Pours a hazy dark gold color with a tight off white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Nondescript aroma with a hint of floral hops. The taste is more pale ale than the nose. Like most of the Moab beers, it's a mellow pale ale. Not much hops flavor and a little bitter bite in the finish. Medium body. Crisp mouthfeel. Okay.
