Description
The Moab Brewery was founded in 1996 by John Borkoski (John is also the founder of a brewery in McCall, Idaho) and Dave Sabey (Dave appreciates a good beer anywhere!). Together with their partners, John and Dave have created an oasis in the desert. Moab Brewery is proud to be Moab’s only microbrewery. The beautiful and unique landscape in and around Moab provides inspiration for our fresh, hand-crafted ales.

Sample at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color, with a small, off-white ring. The nose is lemon, coriander, sourdough, and pine. Lightly sweet, a touch bitter, and faintly tart. Light body, crisp, and a bit acidic. This is a pretty nice, spice-forward witbier. Nice.

I got this bottle in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John!
First off, the label says Moab Brewery Belgrade Mt so I'm slightly confused here(contract brewed?) but:
It pours from 12oz bottle a cloudy gold with a 2 finger+ head of foam. Better than average head retention.
The smell has some earthiness, hops, and some fruit.
The taste has an initial malt roastiness to it followed by some citrus hops and then it all seems to fade away. Quickly. Hmm...the finish is *very* watery as is the mouthfeel and I'd have to say that this isn't a very good stab at the style at all. The label says it's in the tradition of an English style Mild but if that's the case..um....nah, I'd give another example of the style a chance. No problem.
Bottom line: A very average brew at best and 1 I'd not consider to drink again.

Canned at George’s Corner, St George. Pours cloudy golden, white head. Some vague hops in aroma, pretty weak, malty, soapy, grassy bread. Light bodied. Quite bland and uninspiring.

At Cowboy’s Smokehouse, Panguitch. Pours hazy dark golden with a lasting, frothy, white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains hops, citrus, malt, hay and some pine. It tastes light malty sweet and medium hoppy bitter with a short finish. Light body, watery/slick texture, soft carbonation. A quenching IPA that remains unremarkable.
