A light hazed golden amber ale with a thin creamy nitro off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with grainy character and light solvent notes. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with nice British hops, bitter and roasty.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, loads of orange pulp, classic. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt with floral hops, light butterscotch, decent.

Triumph, Philadelphia cask ($4): I purchased this as the ordinary bitter. Pours a murky light brown with a cask looking head. Aroma is British hops, bread, dirt. Taste is slightly sweet. Slightly bitter. Basically, tastes like a proper session ale. Not bad. I could have drink 12 of these.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub - Princeton, 4/21/13, Just listed as Abbey Tripel
Aroma: The nose has lots of spice (clove, etc), some Belgian yeast, and banana/other fruits
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a small head and some fairly light lace
Flavor: The taste is a bit sweet, but less so than usual in this style, and it leans more spicy
Palate: The body is medium, and it would have a nice feel if not for being overly carbonated
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent Tripel, but it wasn't a standout beer for me. Some of the other Triumph offerings that evening were more enjoyable.

Appearance: This one pours a clear orange color with a small head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is pretty much what you'd expect from the nose, mid-sweet and light bitter
Palate: The body of this one medium, leaning a touch light, and it has a decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this beer was okay, but nothing special. It is drinkable enough, but it certainly isn't a memorable offering.

Aroma: It has a chocolaty nose, fairly sweet, with some lighter roast notes as well
Appearance: This one pours a dark brown color with a heavy tan head and coating lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet and chocolaty, balanced by some light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fairly creamy feel, and it comes off as rather easy to drink
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty good one. It's a solid example of the style, and a nice beer. I certainly didn't have any complaints.

Appearance: It pours a clear caramel color with an off-white head and some plus lacing
Flavor: The taste is on target with the nose, it is plenty smokey, but clean and not over-the-top
Palate: The body is medium, it has a good mouthfeel, and it finishes pretty smooth
Overall Impression: I thought this was a nice Rauchbier. It has the right amount of balance between the smoke and rest of the components. Good stuff.
