Flaska från demolenbeershop. Bärnstensfärgad, disig, lågt vitt skum. En stark och söt oude bruin. Rejält laktosyrlig och ganska funkig doft med syrliga plommon, fat, lätt lakto-vinägersyra. Väl sött annars riktigt trevlig.

Edit 11-12-2021. Na een eerder slechte ervaring is de volgende echt heel wat beter. Goudgeel bier met heel veel schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig met wat gras en kruidige hop. Wat er de vorige keer met het bier aan de hand was is me niet duidelijk wat deze ervaring wijkt enorm af van hetgeen ik destijds geschreven heb.

Bottle shared. Pours very hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of yeast, light fruits, herbal notes, light candy and citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle shared. Pours clear brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of tart red fruit, oak, vinegar and light caramel. Flavour is light moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle at the Cafe Red Rose, Brugge: Dec 2015. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a good white head. Aroma had pineapple and caramel sweetness alongside a yeasty base. Taste had similar flavours with some bitterness calming down the sweeter aroma. Well carbonated, almost too much so, the alcohol seemed to be noticeable also: very drinkable though.

This one slipped my notice and had to go hunting in Mississauga to find a couple. And I’m glad I did. Pours a murky pomegranate pink with some foamy pink head. Berries, sugar and funk in the nose. Nice dry sour bite right off the top, with lots of cherries and some cereal malt taste. Damn nice.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy gold orange with one-finger of foam. Oak aromas stand out with some pear, apple, vanilla and light cream (lacto?). Tart on the palate with yogurty, lacto notes as well. Wood and green fruit notes as well. Finish is creamy and dry, very sherry-like. Solid.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slight hazy gold with a big fluffy two-finger white head. Tart nose with oak barrel, sauvignon blanc, grass and lemon zest notes present. Average carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. Tartness, is present but not overly so. The oak notes really stand out as it warms up. Dry finish with some grapefruit and lemon zest.
