(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with crisp-bread, honey and lemon. Malty taste with notes of crisp-bread, honey, lemon, mixed fruit and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Drinkable, but doesn't really stand out. Quite enjoyable.

Espuma beige claro de retención media-alta sobre marrón caoba oscuro. Aroma bastante dulzón y atractivo, malta tostada, caramelo, pasas, nueces y un toque sutil de fondo como a ciruela roja o picota madura. En boca es bastante dulce, oleosa, no demasiado carbonatada, muy maltosa, notas de caramelo, pasas, frutos secos...el final tiene un ligerísimo toque herbal y levemente amargo. Rica y agradable de beber

February 2006: 2 liter mock ceramic (glass, actually) swingtop "siphon" (= a "growler" in America), as "Neuschwansteiner Das Echte", bought at Ole Simon, Sandnes, Norway. Pale golden colour, a faint haziness. Large to moderate head. Pleasant aroma of aromatic hops. Flavour is a typical standard helles: moderate malts, moderate hops, grainy notes, easy drinking, nothing unpleasant but nothing really remarkable either. Nice enough, but the "siphon" was more impressive than the beer.

A clear dark golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of caramelized malt, biscuit, some honey. Taste of mild sweet caramelized malt, hints of honey, toffee, mild spicy bitterness.
