From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is nutmeg and cinnamon spiced. Dry, cinnamon and nutmeg. Toasted malt. Light bodied. Bitter and slight herbal. Spiced finish.

Rated as a Belgian Pale ale, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color with a sustaining one finger white foamy head. It must have lasted a good two minutes before dissipating and leaving a subtle sticky lacing around the glass.
The smell started off with the ginger pretty strong and gently leading to the lemongrass, sweet and fresh. Light citrus (mainly orange and lemon) back up the aroma nicely.
The taste was sweet and spicy through the citrus combining through the ginger. It leaves a ginger aftertaste and has no finish.
On the palate, the ginger does take the lead and lets the carbonation come across fairly subtle. It sits about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good beer with a nice feel to Spring time. As a Belgian Pale ale, I didn’t get as much yeast as expected but still good.

Sample at Kurtkeller 017: Pumpkin-tastic 02 on 10/13/2014. Murky brownish-amber color with a medium tan head that diminishes quickly. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Earthy pumpkins and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, nutmeg and overripe fruit. The finish is stale malt and mild spices. Below average overall.

On tap at the mad mex, nice place. Hazy off yellow. A dull thud of unfresh hops greats my nose reminiscent of mild b/o. Big dull thid hits my palate as well on the first taste. More like a double IPA. Wew, quite hoppy impact, that is not friendly to this lager lovers taste buds. Barely any co2 if any. Yes, this is a high alky beer and you know its 9% fer sure. Strong nasty Nellie effects on my tongue. A little too much attitude for me. Difficult back of throat thing happening. Terribly on style. Could not appreciate this with my girlie lager taste buds. Not impressed with this mouth coating brew. However, if you like IPA, try this, you’ll like it, especially if you like double IPA.
